I am trying to use a zink plated copper oval swaged sleeve with this rope (1/2"), but my 12 ton compression tool will not compress the sleeve enough to allow the pass/ fail gauge to clear. When I use the same tool and gauge with standard 1/2" rope I get a pass every time. It makes sense that since the rope is denser the sleeve cannot compress as far.
