The WEDGE-GRIP is designed to terminate EHS galvanized steel strand, but this particular product is intended for tree-cabling applications. We would not recommend using it to terminate a support strand at a utility pole unless the application has been specifically approved by the manufacturer. For a 300-ft aerial fiber span, the strand size, tension, anticipated ice/wind loading and pole attachment all need to be considered when selecting the proper dead-end. We recommend contacting PLP or a qualified utility/communications engineer for the appropriate termination for this application.
