Use a high-quality EP (extreme-pressure) lithium grease with good water resistance and tackiness to ensure it stays in place and protects under load; it does not need to be a specific brand, but avoid basic general-purpose grease without EP additives. Moly (MoSâ‚‚) grease adds extra protection for shock loading and bushing-type applications, but standard EP lithium grease is sufficient—and often preferred—for most xxxx block bearings.
