- If the cylinder if full, it would be best to have two people lay the cylinder on its side (horizontal)
- Slide the cylinder sling onto the cylinder from the bottom to the top
- Attach the cylinder sling lifting eye to an appropriate chain hoist, overhead crane, mobile crane, etc. and stand the cylinder to its vertical position.
- Two people can also manually raise the cylinder to its vertical position.
