This wedge socket has an efficiency rating of 80% based on the catalog strength of XXIP wire rope. For example, if your wire rope has a published breaking strength of 29,200 lbs, you could expect this socket to hold up to 23,360 lbs. By no means should you load your wire rope or this socket to that extreme, it's simply a formula to demonstrate the relative strength and "efficiency" of this product.
